    About Me

    Since 2010 I provide legal solutions to businesses and private customers as an accredited Attorney by German law. My areas of expertise are contract law, corporate law and media law.

    In addition, I regularly hold seminars in companies as well as universities, mainly on the subject of negotiation.

        Costs

        I usually work for an hourly rate. For entrepreneurial clients, the hourly rate is EUR 250 plus VAT. For start-up companies and non-profit organizations, the hourly rate is EUR 220 plus VAT.

Contract Law & General Terms and Conditions

Contracts create clarity. Clarity about what the contractual partners expect from each other. Clarity avoids conflicts.
Contracts regulate cooperations that bring added value. Good contracts maximize added value.
Contractual provisions are often null and void under German Law. Professional contracts are effective or take this into account.

Corporate & Commercial Law

Corporate & Commercial includes all questions that companies regularly ask themselves. From the choice of legal form in the course of founding, to the operational and administrative design of the business, to the liquidation or transfer of the company.

Negotiation

Each of us is constantly negotiating. A professional negotiation analysis and execution methodically opens up unused negotiation leeway. A new, expert perspective is particularly worthwhile when it comes to important negotiation items.

The topic of conducting negotiations is often closely linked to legal issues. Very often, however, legal counselling fails to focus on questions of how to negotiate a conflict or contract.

The service area described below focuses on the analysis of the negotiation situation. The legal issues are nevertheless taken into account in the quality of an initial consultation. In-depth legal questions will be processed separately after consultation and based on a corresponding cost estimate. The following description refers to constructive negotiation situations and extrajudicial conflicts.

Here are a few examples to give you an idea of how much work is involved:
Costs for contract preparation & contract review
  • Reviewing and providing feedback on a non-disclosure agreement takes about 30 minutes on average
  • For the creation of an association's statutes that correspond to the legal requirements, after consultation of the individual interests and ideas, including the sending of general information, an average effort of approx. 1 to 2 hours is incurred.
  • The creation of a lean operative contract draft in manageable legal areas or business areas (e.g. photographer contract, e-commerce purchase contract) takes an average of about 3 to 5 hours.
  • The creation of a lean operative contract draft in rather complex legal areas or business areas (e.g. IT project contract, framework service contract) takes an average of approx. 5 to 10 hours.
Costs for answering legal questions
  • For rather simple questions that require short research (for example, whether a claim is statute-barred), it takes an average of 1 to 2 hours.
  • It takes an average of 8 to 16 hours to create a written note on more complex legal issues (for example whether an innovative online business model is compliant with competition law).
Costs for court representation
    The minimum of billed fees for court representation are based on the amount in dispute in accordance with the Lawyers' Fees Act (Rechtsanwaltsvergütungsgesetz). There are some practical online legal cost calculators for estimating these fees. However, these are quite difficult to understand for the legal layperson due to the different fee rates. Just contact me and I'll be happy to help you with the assessment.
Costs for negotiation analysis
  • A verbal negotiation check usually lasts between 30 and 60 minutes.
  • A verbal negotiation check with a sketch usually takes between 60 and 90 minutes.
  • The cost of a negotiation check with a sketch after reviewing the documents depends heavily on the scope of the written documents. For manageable documents, the effort is usually between 90 and 150 minutes.
Cost for seminars

I generally charge companies a daily rate of 1,490 euros plus VAT for in-house lectures. The number of daily rates depends on the duration of the lecture and the extent of the preparation.
